The Fresno Pet Cemetery was established in 1945 by Mr. Lincoln S. Madsen. His main objective was to provide a cemetery where people could have their family pet buried at a reasonable price for the average person. When Mr. Madsen retired in 1974 the Fresno Pet Cemetery was sold to Mr. Robert Beckman who had been associated with the cemetery since 1964. The ownership of the cemetery is now in the hands of Mr. Jim Barbato who has been associated with the Fresno Pet Cemetery since 1984. The cemetery has been under continuous development since its inception and was most recently expanded in May, 2002, with the incorporation of the final one-half acre of land.
A Personal Note From Owner, Jim Barbato:
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know about the 2nd Annual Cure Search Walk that will take place Sat. Nov 3rd at Buchanan High School in Clovis, CA, from 10am - 2pm. This is an event that is especially close to me because it raises money to find cures for childhood cancer, to help children like my grand-daughter Jaden (below) & improve their chances of survival.
We have started a team in support of Jaden called Super Team Jaden. If you are in the area, please come & join our team. It's $10 to walk, or if you can't come, you can donate on the website.
Thank you & hope to see you there!
